Learning expedition at AIRBUS

Connecting academic research with industry expertise: EA²GLE Graduate School organized its second learning expedition of 2026, bringing Université de Toulouse students to the Airbus site in Saint-Martin-du-Touch for an intensive day of technical insights and immersive tours.

EA²GLE’s 2026 second learning expedition took students from the Université de Toulouse to the Airbus site at Saint-Martin-du-Touch. On the agenda: a practical exercise on an electrical power generator for a wide-body aircraft, following a presentation on the theoretical fundamentals by David MALEC, a comprehensive technical presentation of the studied generator and also all on-board electrical power generation sources by Guilherme Dantas de Freitas, as well as the systems ensuring the safety and reliability of the electrical power distribution network by Mustapha El KHAITER, concluding with an interactive tour of the alternator test centre, full-scale electrical and hydraulic circuits (iron bird) and flight simulators led by Armand BOUYCHOU.

An event made possible thanks to the efforts of Roland Caussé and the support of CHRISTOPHE MONTRET and Christophe LOCHOT.

An experience to be repeated next year with other students from the Université de Toulouse and engineering students from one of the schools of the EA²GLE Graduate school
